Education

Dr. Valente is proud to have earned academic degrees from SUNY College @ Fredonia, The University of Tennessee, Knoxville and The University of South Carolina, Columbia. In addition to her traditional degrees in Music (BM, MM and DMA), she also completed K-12 General/Choral Music teacher training in New York State, and advanced training in Contemporary Commercial Music at Shenandoah University.

A lifelong learner, Dr. Valente participates in the national discussion about music education by attending and presenting at conferences hosted by the College Music Society, National Federation of Music Clubs, Music Teachers National Association and the Phi Kappa Phi honor society.
